Equipment bags should be turned in to the board room after your team is eliminated from tournament play. Equipment check in sheets will be located in the board room in a binder. Coaches please FILL THESE FORMS OUT appropriately and put them in your equipment bag. It is imperative the forms are filled out and placed in the bag so we will know your equipment was returned.

Freedom Park's Mission is to put forth every effort to make playing games "FUN." These rules are designed to protect our girls and at the same time, help the flow of our games run smoothly. These rules are for the girls and are not to be used as a tool to create a win for a team. 2011 Revised rules are in RED below.
All Leagues - MANAGERS AND MANAGERS ONLY may approach or question an umpire's ruling or judgment. The penalty for an assistant coach approaching an umpire, is that he or she can be confined to the dugout or ejected by the umpire.
Managers are responsible for making sure their team is legally equipped.
There is a 15 minute grace period on all first games. Grace period is only to be used if a team does not have enough players. If a game is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m., the game clock will start at 6:00 and at 6:15 the game will be called if either team does not have enough players. If both teams have enough players, the expectation is for both teams to be on the field to start play.
10U Batting while Coach is Pitching: The batter will keep the strike count and be given up to 3 pitches (3 pitches only even if the batter fouls the ball off). Umpires will call balls and strikes from the coach pitching. Example: If a batter has 1 strike and the coach comes in to pitch and the batter swings and misses the first 2 pitches, the batter is out. If a batter has 2 strikes and coach pitches and the batter doesn't swing but the umpire calls a strike, the batter is out. If a batter has 2 strikes and the coach pitches the 3rd pitch and the batter fouls the 3rd pitch off, the batter is out.
The look back rule: If a runner rounds a bag and stops, she has a split second to make a decision as to whether she wants to return to the bag she just rounded or precede to the next base. If she attempts the next base, she cannot hesitate nor can she stop again unless the pitcher, when in the circle, throws the ball out of the circle. This rule also applies when a girl is walked to first.
10U Bunt: A girl can square to bunt in 10U however she cannot pull back and hit the ball.
Juniors & Seniors: A girl can square to bunt and pull back to hit the ball.
10U Advance Running: If a runner is advancing on a batted ball and the ball is over thrown, she may run all the bases she wants. It is only on an attempted steal that the runner cannot advance - 1 base at a time on steals.
Junior & Seniors: Play by the same rules. The only exception is that Juniors can play utilizing 4 outfielders.
Keeping of Scoreboard and Scorebook: The home team keeps the books in the tower and the visting team keeps the scoreboard.
Game Directors: There are always at least 2 board members acting as game directors every night there is a game being played at the park. If you have any questions or concerns about anything at the park, please contact the director on duty. The game director schedule can be found on the left side corner of this page. Please print a copy to know the director for every game.
CALL UP CONSENT FORM - This is a permission form for parents of your players to be placed on a rotating list to be called up to the next league to play in the event that a team may not have enough players to play.
